Idit Muallem

Idit brings a wealth of experience to the intersection of startups, venture capital and innovation. With a background deeply rooted in the startup world, she gained invaluable expertise in operations and scaling technology ventures — holding senior positions in product, marketing, business development, and strategy. Since joining Pitango in 2013, Idit has been deeply involved in the Israeli venture capital landscape, initially as an early-stage investor and later as a growth investor. Idit played a pivotal role in the expansion of Pitango growth stage investments in 2016, and in shaping the portfolio which includes notable names like: AppsFlyer Via, Riskified, DriveNets, TailorBrands, Tomorrow.io, AI21, Mend, Masterschool, and more. Recognizing the importance of knowledge sharing and mentorship by industry leaders, Idit formed the Pitango Growth Academy in 2018. The Academy focuses on Go-To-Market strategies, unlocking growth, and navigating common inflection points for emerging Israeli startups. In Jan 2021, Idit joined the prestigious list of 40 under 40 by Globes (the top business magazine in Israel) as a result of her significant contribution and leadership in the startup’s ecosystem during COVID. Idit holds a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering & Management and an MBA, both from Tel Aviv University.
