Amir Joined Pitango in April 2019. Prior to joining Pitango, Amir was a Senior Vice President and a member of Intel Corporation executive management committee. During his tenure at Intel, Amir managed tens of thousands of employees globally. While in Intel Amir set the foundation for Intel’s IP-to-SoC methodology, introduced the multi-wave development model, and focused on making Intel’s critical IP and product portfolio more competitive.
More recently as the director of Strategic Transactions for Intel Capital Amir was responsible to identify opportunities in emerging areas of compute, networking, artificial intelligence and engineering capabilities, and executed several large transactions.
Prior to joining Intel, Amir was the president of Qualcomm Atheros, following a lead role in the $3.6B acquisition of Atheros Communications by Qualcomm. He led the integration of its multi-billion business into Qualcomm where he managed the company’s networking, connectivity infrastructure, and emerging Internet of Things semiconductor businesses.
Previously at Atheros Communications Amir served as Senior Vice President of its Consumer Business Unit, overseeing the company’s wireless connectivity and location technologies. Prior to joining Atheros, Amir was Senior Director at Texas Instruments.
Among his Community activities, Amir is a member of the Streering Committee of ICON, connecting Israeli Tech startups and Innovation, to Silicon Valley Corporates, Investors and the community.
Amir earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Haifa University in Israel. He also holds a dual MBA degree in High Technology Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Recanati Business School at Tel Aviv University.
