Maya is an investor in Pitango’s HealthTech fund, with business experience across the US healthcare industry.
Maya joined Pitango from McKinsey, where she worked with large, global pharmaceutical clients on strategic priorities ranging from digitization to commercial operational excellence to organic and inorganic growth. She also worked with other stakeholders in the healthcare value chain, including Pharmacy Benefit Managers and medical device manufacturers, as well as with private equity clients to conduct market due-diligence on healthcare assets.
Prior to McKinsey, Maya worked at an early-stage startup in the remote patient monitoring space, where she helped to shape the business strategy and execute on early client partnerships with pharmaceutical companies. She was also a manager in a boutique consulting firm (later acquired by PwC) in NY, working on corporate strategy for health insurance payors and clients in additional industries.
Maya holds an MBA from MIT, an MPA from Harvard and a BA in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Pennsylvania. She speaks Hebrew, English, Spanish and Portuguese and loves indie music, running and backpacking in unconventional places.
