Herzliya, June 17, 2019: Pitango Venture Capital announced today the appointment of Idit Muallem-Yedid and Yair Cassuto as Partners in its Funds. Idit’s focus is on Growth investments alongside Isaac Hillel and Aaron Mankovski and Yair’s focus is in Early Stage investments alongside Eyal Niv and Ayal Itzkovitz.
Idit joined Pitango in 2013 as a Principal, with a primary focus on Early Stage investments. Upon the inception of the Pitango Growth Fund, her focus shifted to growth investments, where she played an instrumental part in Pitango’s investments in AppsFlyer, Riskified, DriveNets and others.
As a Principal, Idit has been responsible for conducting due diligence for potential investments, deal sourcing and screening at Pitango Growth Fund and in parallel, she works closely with Pitango’s portfolio companies as they continue to grow and scale globally.
Idit has more than 12 years of high-tech and Venture Capital experience, with expertise in SaaS, Data, Marketing Analytics, application infrastructure, eCommerce and Consumer Internet domains.
Prior to joining Pitango, Idit held various senior positions in Corporates and Startups, from Product Management through Marketing and Corporate Development. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering & Management and an MBA, both from the Tel Aviv University.
Yair joined Pitango in 2017. He is focused on Seed and Early Stage investments in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud, Cyber Security and Enterprise Software. Yair holds active roles on the boards of several Pitango companies, such as CyberMDX, Perception Point, D-ID and more. Yair also played an instrumental role in the Pitango investments of Optibus and Zapata.
Prior to joining Pitango, Yair worked at IBM in NY, focusing on strategy and M&A. During his tenure, Yair was with IBM Security, responsible for IBM's strategic growth initiatives in Cyber Security. Also, Yair was a member of IBM's Corporate Development Team, where he worked on corporate strategic initiatives and M&A transactions.
Yair brings a strong technical background having served for 8 years as a senior officer at the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, responsible for R&D of advanced Hardware and Software.
Yair holds a B.Sc. with honors in Electronics Engineering from the Tel Aviv University and an MBA from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania.
