SOMERVILLE, Mass. and Singapore, Dec. 18, 2018 – Formlabs, the designer and manufacturer of powerful and accessible 3D printing systems, today announced it has grown its Asia Pacific footprint with the planned upcoming opening of a new APAC headquarters in Singapore, as it looks to expand its team. In addition, the company has added a new warehouse in Shenzhen, China to more cost effectively process and ship products faster.
Formlabs’ physical presence growth is coupled with the announcement of a new general manager of Asia Pacific, David Tan. David joins Formlabs from Oracle, where he served as the APAC director of strategy and programs for Oracle Cloud Platform, Alliances & Channels.
“Formlabs has long set its sights on making 3D printing processes more accessible. Part of this strategy has been completely rethinking 3D printing technologies from the ground up,” said Max Lobovsky, co-founder and CEO of Formlabs. “The second is bringing the technology to market. There is an immense amount of opportunity in Asia Pacific, we’re looking forward to what David and these new locations can do to improve our growing success in the region.”
As the company continues to expand, current notable users in the region include: CREATIVE BOX from the NISSAN design group, SAP, Toyota, Wacom, Phillips, and many more. Since first entering the China market in 2015, Formlabs has built a team across the region. With the new office space, the company will look to double its headcount by the end of 2019.

We are consistently impressed by the Form 2’s extremely high product quality and output efficiency. I can’t wait to see what Formlabs is going to offer next.”
